Near Cave Junction, a car hitting a power pole caused a power outage for 1,4398 customers in the Illinois Valley on Monday, according to Pacific Power.

Illinois Valley Fire District said the crash was reported at 10:19 a.m. Monday at milepost 1 of Holland Loop Road and sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Josephine County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
