As of 11 a.m. on Thursday, the Grants Pass Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Anthony Teal, 36, after he fled on foot from the Leonard Road area in south Grants Pass before police arrived.

He is wanted on numerous charges from a morning incident, including robbery, strangulation, menacing, unlawful use of a vehicle and eluding police, GPPD said.

Teal is 5-foot-8, has green eyes and a beard, weighs about 170 to 200 pounds, and was last seen wearing a light gray T-shirt, black shorts and black shoes, police said.

“If you see Teal, do not approach him. Please call 911 and report the location so law enforcement can apprehend him,” GPPD said.

The police department said it will issue more information later about the Thursday morning incident that led to a road closure in the area. The road closure has since been lifted.
